Mt. Zion School of Ministry
The student’s third year of schooling consists of a six-month internship and four months of classroom and seminar training. This six-month internship is the time when the student puts into practice the classroom training from the past two years. Upon completion of the internship, the student returns to the classroom, where he/she will study classes specifically chosen to build on their previous six-months of training.
For the six-month internship, responsibilities given to the students cover a wide range of duties, from practical, daily tasks to specialized training with specific departments and outreaches. Interns are placed in various places throughout the United States and the nations. Currently, placements are established in the following locations: New York City – street ministry, Times Square Church in New York City, Mt. Hope Women’s and Children’s Outreach in New Jersey, Mt. Zion School of Ministry, Guatemala, Ireland, and South Africa.
Times Square Church:
Times Square Church is located in the heart of New York City. It is an interdenominational church founded by Pastor David Wilkerson in 1987. The interns have opportunities to assist in the office administration in the TSC offices.
New York City Street Ministry:
The ministry in New York consists of various aspects, such as street evangelism, feeding programs to the homeless, tutoring youth, and ministry to the elderly.
Mt. Hope:
Mt. Hope is a residential home for homeless or destitute women and their children. The interns step in to help fulfill the need of the practical aspects of the camp. These practical aspects are kitchen and/or maintenance help, as well as assisting with the children. (More info)
Mt. Zion School of Ministry:
The intern’s work at Mt. Zion School of Ministry consists of maintenance, office, nursery, housekeeping and kitchen work. They are very involved in outreaches to the surrounding communities, which include nursing homes, hospital, and prison ministries, as well as ministering to youth, children, and homeless in the inner-city of Harrisburg, PA.
Overseas Missionary Work:
The interns in various nations assist ministries that have been established and run by nationals. The interns assist in many aspects of ministry, including street evangelism, prison ministry, children’s outreaches, office administration, housekeeping and maintenance duties, as well as ministering to and strengthening the Body of Christ in those nations through Bible Studies and preaching. Currently, we have interns in the nations of Guatemala, South Africa, and Ireland.
