Mt. Zion School of Ministry - Campus Life

Students in Fellowship CenterCampus life at Mt. Zion School of Ministry can be described best by the word “family”. Through the years, many students have come to call Mt. Zion their second home. The intimate atmosphere is maintained by intentionally keeping our enrollment low, so everybody knows everybody and lifelong friendships are developed. The students come with the same heart – a heart full of love for their Lord Jesus! This in itself creates a tight bond within the student body.

The Lord has blessed our campus with a new, beautiful and functional Fellowship Center. Students can enjoy getting to know their classmates and fellowship over a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or ice cream. A ping-pong table is available as well as various board games. The atmosphere of this facility is complete with a large, stone fireplace and comfortable sofas and chairs. Many school and church activities take place throughout the year in this building, as it also houses full kitchen facilities.

Students can feel free to play their guitars and sing and share their experiences with each other as they relax in this most picturesque structure, which is bordered with large windows. The view is breathtaking as you can see the Blue Mountain range, wide-open fields, and ponds that are available for those who enjoy fishing.

A small student-run school store is also located in the Fellowship Center where necessities are available to students for a nominal fee.Students in Fellowship Center

If you were to wander away from the Fellowship Center on a quest to observe other areas of Mt. Zion student life, you may see young people walking in the fields or sitting quietly at one of the many benches throughout the 100-acre campus, gleaning truth from God’s Word, and others worshipping and praying. Some have said the fields are the best part of Mt. Zion, because there they can meet with God one-on-one!

The school has a large gymnasium, which has basketball and volleyball courts. A small weight room is available for those who like to workout with weights. The campus also has an outdoor basketball court and volleyball net for the students’ enjoyment. Often you can see students jogging the perimeter of the campus or playing softball in the manicured ball field.

Saturday nights is a time of fellowship for the student body! The Student Council plans a weekly activity for the ladies and for the men, and a co-ed fellowship once a month. These activities range from playing sports in the gym or outside, board games, baking, crafts, etc.
