What are your alumni currently doing?
Yes, all of our students live on campus in dormitories. We have one men's dormitory, and two ladies dormitories. There are usually two students per room.
We do not have housing on campus for married students; therefore any married students are required to find their own housing in the area.
Only married students may live off the campus.
What is the cost of attending Mt. Zion School of Ministry?
The first and second years of schooling costs $2450 per year, the third year (consisting of six months internship and four months in-class training) costs $1750. This money is not a tuition, but is used to help defer the cost of basic living expenses, which includes room/board, three meals a day, registration fee, textbooks, class dues, miscellaneous fees, etc. We do not offer a scholarship program, but we have seen the faithfulness of God to provide for students who followed His leading to attend Mt. Zion School of Ministry.
International student fees for the first year is $3450. This includes a $1000 international deposit, which is returned to the student when he/she graduates. The second year is $2450 and the third year is $1750.
The cost for a married student is $1450 per person for the first and second year, and $1215 for the third year.

(Mt. Zion School of Ministry reserves the right to make adjustments to charges as necessary.)
Are there any additional costs for schooling?
There are no additional costs for schooling, but students will need sufficient funds to cover their personal needs (i.e. toiletries, laundry soap, etc.).
Our academic program is very good, and the campus is beautiful, with like-new buildings and dorms. The heart of Mt. Zion School of Ministry has never been to make money, as the costs required do not even cover basic maintenance of the campus. Our heart is to provide a place for young people to develop a close relationship with God, and from that close relationship, be equipped to minister effectively His love for others.
One visiting pastor shared his concern with us about the young people in his church and his desire that they serve God fully without school loans hanging over their heads. He spoke of many Bible School graduates he is acquainted with who have finished their schooling unable to follow the Lord wherever He would lead them because they are now tied down with debt. This pastor was grateful of the fact that we do not charge a tuition, and that the fees we do charge is minimal, so our students are able to graduate with the freedom to give their all to God, to follow the path He sets before them without any financial obligation holding them back.
We are very thankful to the Lord for His incredible faithfulness to provide for us and enable us to offer this schooling tuition free. All glory to Jesus!
Is Mt. Zion School of Ministry accredited?
Mt. Zion School of Ministry is a non-accredited school.
What is the purpose of Mt. Zion School of Ministry?
The heart and vision of Mt. Zion School of Ministry is to raise up young people who know God intimately and will give the entirety of their lives to serve Him. We look for students who are serious about wanting to know the Lord and are willing to give Him their all, to follow where He leads. We have a good academic program, founded on the Word of God, ("Study to shew yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth" 2 Timothy 2:15). However, our emphasis is on the heart relationship with God rather than just an intellectual understanding of Him. We believe the closer an individual walks with Jesus and the better they know Him and His heart, the better equipped they are to present Him to others.

How many students normally attend Mt. Zion School of Ministry?
There are approximately 125-135 students attending Mt. Zion School of Ministry each year, which includes first, second and third year students. We will always keep our attendance low in order to maintain a family atmosphere.
Mt. Zion School of Ministry accepts students between the ages of 17 - 39.
We are not prejudice against any age, but it has been our experience that those who have been established in life and have had a career for several years find it somewhat difficult to adjust to dormitory life and the strenuous and intense structure of this school.
What are some of the guidelines of the school?
The heart of Mt. Zion School of Ministry is to provide an atmosphere where students are able to focus wholly on the Lord without many of the distractions of day to day life. For this reason there are certain guidelines in effect; some of which are not convictions so much as guidelines necessary to maintain this atmosphere for this season of the students' lives.
Mt. Zion School of Ministry does not permit dating among the students. There have been many wonderful, godly marriages that have come together among our graduates, but for the purpose of eliminating distractions we do not allow relationships to be pursued during the three years of schooling.
Students are asked not to bring computers to school and there is no internet access for students. We know there is a vast amount of good information available on the internet, but the goal of Mt. Zion School of Ministry is to maintain harmony throughout the dorms and to allow the students to draw near to God in a peaceful atmosphere.
Television is not permitted on the campus of Mt. Zion School of Ministry.
The Apostle Paul admonishes us to dress modestly and with discretion (I Timothy 2:9; I Peter 3:3-4).
During classes and chapel, ladies are required to wear a white long-sleeved blouse with a collar with a solid-colored black, navy or burgundy skirt. Men are required to wear a long-sleeved dress shirt and tie with dark or neutral-toned dress slacks.
During free time, students are permitted to wear casual clothing of their choice that is modest and loose-fitting.

Extracurricular activities, such as choir practice and voluntary prayer meetings, may also take place in the afternoons.
The students are free of classes on the weekends. We take the students to local shopping centers on a rotating schedule; it averages that each student goes shopping once or twice a month. Visitors weekend is the fourth weekend of every month where students may go home for the weekend. Students also enjoy walking to a state park (that borders the campus) which has a lake, or to a nearby general store.
Every other Friday night there is an optional late night prayer meeting, with an all night prayer meeting taking place at least once in the semester.
The students plan a weekly fellowship for Saturday evenings, which may include games or sports.
How much space do I have in the dorm room?
Usually there are two students per dorm room and each room is furnished with either wardrobes or small closets. Students do not need an excess of clothing, as they will wear the uniform five days a week. Furniture and large trunks, are not permitted.
Can a student have a job while in school?
Students may not have outside employment during their time at Mt. Zion School of Ministry. Married students are permitted to work, but it must not interfere with their school schedule.
