Here are the notes of Mt. Zion Alumni who have written to update us on what they are doing.
| Will and Lynn Rhodes | Class of 2000 |
Will and Lynn Rhodes (formerly Lynn Gallagher) currently reside in Hampton, Virginia. They have been married since April 2002 and have been blessed by the birth of a beautiful daughter, Lydia Grace Rhodes, on November 2, 2006. Will works full-time for Sam Rust Seafood, a wholesale processor and distributor of fresh and frozen seafood. Will has worked for Sam Rust since he was a teen and before Jesus changed his life. He appreciates the opportunities his job gives him to be a living testimony to those around him. Will enjoys leading devotions with his co-workers and is thankful that the Lord has opened this door for him. Lynn is a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. She previously worked as an office assistant at the local housing authority before Lydia's birth. She loves her new "job" and the beautiful rewards it brings. The Rhodes' fellowship at a small church near their home where they occasionally have the opportunity to preach (Will) and share in the music (Lynn). Will and Lynn are continually thankful for the training they received at Mt. Zion and feel that the school served to prepare them for the challenges of everyday life. They desire to keep their intimate relationship with the Lord strong as they seek to do His will. The Lord has been so faithful to provide, protect, and guide them and for this they give Him praise!

| Bobby Kay | Class of 1996 |
I’m Bobby Kay from the class of 1996 at Mt. Zion. The school staff and students have been a great comfort to me and I will always cherish the memories of Mt. Zion. I pray for you all every day. I work part time at an A & P supermarket here in Mystic, CT and reside in Mystic, my hometown.
Love,
Bobby
| Christina Fowler | Class of 2004 |
Currently I am working part-time at my home church, El Bethel Community Church of God located in Pasadena, MD. I am the Children's Pastor, and I teach the kids every Sunday, have monthly functions and outreaches, VBS, and oversee the Children's Ministry as a whole. This has been a wonderful privilege and a hard road to walk along but never without the faithfulness of God to see me through. Also, I work part-time at a famous little coffee shop called Starbucks. The Lord has opened many doors to share the Gospel and to be a light to those around me! The Lord's mercies are new every morning!!! The Lord continues to move mountains as well as molehills within my life and daily I marvel at His wonder working power! I am blessed to be called a child of God and may I be a blessing to others!

Hello Mt. Zion Family,
I was so blessed by the Alumni pictures...it has been such a long time since I've seen my schoolmates! I wish that I too could have been there. One day, God willing, I will be able to come. Until then...
Updates on my life--goodness, where in the world do I start! Phillip and I were married on December 20, 2002 and have been living in Hawaii ever since. We talk about moving back to the mainland eventually but who knows if that will ever happen. As we joke, Paradise needs missionaries too!
As far as ministry is concerned, we have been youth ministers at our church for the past year and a half and have been blessed to be a part of the lives of these kids. Secularly, Phillip is a truck driver and I work in a shelter for kids. We also take care of foster kids. Being an example for our teenagers challenges Phillip and me to become more Christ-like in every way. Before having these youth, I only thought I understood God's unconditional love--now I am starting to get the picture! Overall the experience has been rewarding. We figure since we haven't been able to have children of our own yet, we might as well take care of those who need us! So, here we are!
I will be graduating from the University of Hawaii in the Spring 2007 semester with a BA in Linguistics. The following semester I will receive my certification to teach English as a second language and will finally be able to work with Spanish--the language that I love!
I do not know what God has in store for us in the future. Whatever comes, we're ready and willing. Until then, we do what we know to do.
I would love to hear from you all...
God bless,
Monica Minnitt
| Morten and Autumn (Knoll) Johansen | Class of 2004/2002 |
Hi there!
We are doing good here in Norway, and the Lord is faithful as always! Since moving to Norway, I have been working hard to learn the Norwegian language, and after a year and half am now completely finished with language studies. At the moment, I am finishing a daycare training course, and praying about working in a daycare, or else going to college in the fall to study. Morten is working as a store manager in a grocery store here in our city of Kristiansand. He is learning a lot about leadership and enjoying the challenge. We are both very active in our church here, and we volunteer as youth leaders. I have also recently begun teaching Sunday School, and teaching in a foreign language is definitely new and challenging! Before we were married, we both knew that we were called to missions work. Right now it seems that He has us here in Norway for a season, and we are content to wait for His timing and direction to go out into another field. We are seeing more and more how this country needs true men and women of God, and are praying that Jesus would use our lives to the fullest for His glory while we are here. We know that our Lord is faithful and will complete the good work He has started in us! Although we are far away, our family from Mt. Zion is continually in our hearts and prayers.
We love you all!

No children, but 2 wonderful dogs!
Since graduating Mt. Zion and getting married, we have been living in Detroit, Michigan and are attending Revival Tabernacle in Highland Park. We have continued to appreciate the godly leadership that God has given us with our pastors, Tim Dilena and Kevin Ramsby. We have been the leaders of the Young Adult Ministry for a year and a half. Nathan is a manager of a Christian bookstore that our church purchased in November 2006, and Veronica works as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm for the past 4 1/2 years. We both enjoy serving wherever needed, whether it's cleaning the church or picking up guest speakers from the airport. The Lord has been faithful to us in every way and we are continually grateful for His goodness and mercy!
Thinking of you all often

Hey MZ!
Here is a brief update on moi....
I am living in Wasilla, Alaska and working as an accountant in Anchorage, Alaska. I love being near family and friends after being gone for so long! I live near Jonah, April (Reesor), and Joey Brost, so Mt. Zion memories are never far from our thoughts. I recently moved back to Alaska in Sept '06 and since then have joined the worship team at Glad Tidings Full Gospel Church. I play the piano every Sunday and enjoy it, even though I'm not a pro at it. I have been spending time with my parents, enjoying getting to know them as adults. My father was very ill this past summer, and that was a big reason why I moved home. It is nice to be around now when they need help.
That is about it for now....
I love you guys! Thanks for keeping in touch...
Love,
Susannah Stoneking
| Jacob and Dawn (Hasse) Cole | Class of 2000 |
We are now a family of five. Caleb is nearing 4, Clayton is nearing 2, and Lacey is 5 1/2 mo. What a joy children are and we thank the Lord for these precious gifts. Our house gets a little crazy at times, but Jesus always gives grace and wisdom. Bless Him!
We live in Post Falls, Idaho. The Lord has put us in a wonderful church body where we are actively working in jr. kids church, the nursery, and leading a home Bible study. We know the Lord has a call of ministry on our lives and we see His direction, so we are just waiting on Him to open the door before us. He is so good at that and it always turns out best that way! Jacob is working for a company as their educational software sales director. He also keeps himself on the go with our Melaleuca home business. Besides all that, he is an active Daddy and comes home each day ready to wrestle and play.
Dawn is a full time Mommy and loves it. She has started preschool homeschool with Caleb and he is doing great. All in all, life at the homefront is fun, noisy, challenging, and very busy.....but what a joy to be serving in this great ministry called "raising children for God's glory". Much wisdom & patience from above is needed.
Caleb and Clayton are busy little guys full of life and joy. Lacey is cute as can be and loves to make her own little sounds and play with her toys and smile.
We praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness in our lives.
Thanking the Lord for his Blessings,
The Cole Family
| Eric and Nicole (Tripiciano) Hartwell | Class of 2002 |
Hello, how are you doing? This is Eric and Nicole Hartwell both from the Class of '03. Just writing an update about us and our daughter Chloe. Eric is teaching Physical Education, health, computer and 11th grade Bible in a small Christian school in Bennington, VT. He is also coaching Varsity Basketball. Nicole is working at a medical office doing all the billing of insurance companies. This is a perfect job for her because she can bring our daughter Chloe with her. We are both active with the ministry. We are the youth leaders in our church and we have an innercity outreach in the city of Troy, NY. Also, Eric is one of the deacons in our church so he is also very involved with the daily operations of the church and its building. God has been really good to us, drawing us closer to Himself daily. Thanks to the time spent at MZ we both know who we are in Christ and that it does not stop there. We are merely grazing the surface of what He has in store for us. We see Eric's job at a school as an open door for us to be used more during the summer months, so now we are waiting for direction. Chloe is now almost 9 mos. old and very active. She was born April 18th. She is the best baby.
Gotta go now
Eagerly Awaiting His Soon Return,
Eric, Nicole, and Chloe

To my beloved brothers and sisters,
I am honored to be able to write to you to let you know where I am in full time ministry. It has been the heart of the Lord for me to enter ministry since I was a student at Mount Zion School.
I am blessed in the Lord, because he has given me His heart for the widow and orphan. Mount Hope Ministries, a ministry for women and their children, is where I’ve been called.
On the start of my day, I know that the transformed lives of women and the children is here, and has become the heart of God. They come from many places in the United States. The Lord takes them and begins to do a marvelous work in their hearts.
Over the past ten (10) years, I’ve seen His hand upon me to do His will in these last days. Broken for the call of Christ, I’ve come to know Him in a deep way. My beginning at Mount Zion School of Ministry gave me one purpose as a student there, and that was to leave knowing Him and who I would become in Him.
Today I am truly about His business (the widow and the orphan in the Body of Christ). I am grateful for my beginning days at Mount Zion School of Ministry. The standard that was taught has been wrought within. This foundation was needed in order for me to know Him and to do what He has called me to do in ministry today.
Living the chamber of His grace,
Carolyn Jean Ross

| Brian & Christy (Hall) Drinkard | Class of 1999 |
We have lived in Charleston, SC for nearly four years. Brian works at the Club at Seabrook Island as an Asst. Superintendant in Golf Maintenance. We have three beautiful daughters Alanna is 6, Sierra 3, and Natalie almost 1. I stay at home with the girls and am currently homeschooling Alanna in the first grade. We LOVE having girls.
It took us two years to find a good church in Charleston, but we have been attending New Covenant Church of God for almost a year now. We love it. Brian is involved with the High School/College group. He plays guitar on the worship band and helps with the teaching. We are so grateful to finally have a church body to be plugged into and ministry too. It has been a real blessing. We believe God has called Brian into full-time ministry, but for now we are content to serve wherever and however God opens the doors. We are waiting on His timing.
Thanks for adding us in!

3. HIV Prevention - Presenting AIDS awareness talks in schools.
4. Preaching - Whether at clinics or at funerals, in churches or in homes, we are proclaiming the word of the Lord wherever we can.
We appreciate your prayers; they accomplish much.

| Nathaniel and Tiffany (Waddington) Starcher | Class of 2003 |
This is Nate and Tiffany Starcher (Waddington) and family update. We are still living in Billings Montana where Nate is laying hardwood floors and I am blessed to be a stay at home mom! We have two beautiful daughters, Emerald will be 4 July 12th and we just celebrated Chloe's 1st Birthday the 4th of December! We are very involved in our church, Nate still plays the piano for worship and is pursuing his minister license here with our church. We just celebrated a year of starting Clay-Doh Kids Club! The Lord has done much with this ministry and we pray that it continues to grow, it is amazing to see what the Lord does with a ministry when it is his! The kids (4th - 6th) are amazing and have grown in the Lord. We have witnessed them weeping before the Lord and giving their lives to him for the first time! We are excited to see where God continues to lead!
Strong Through Christ,
